Somatic Education and practice is not just useful if you are in pain. This foundation practice prepares you to do everything in life with more ease, self-awareness, and freedom.
Personal Training clients, may struggle with reduced performance, pain and a lack of progress. The main reason is an inability to have full conscious control of muscle groups or movement patterns. This inhibits the ability to perform a movement or exercise well..
Some of my Personal Training clients have had very positive results. Including somatic movement practice in their training package, they have reduced pain or restriction and increased muscle efficiency and strength. More self-awareness and learning for themselves why muscle dysfunction is caused by habitual stress reflexes (fight / flight / freeze).
Continuing to build their own independent practice into their training week has enabled them to keep mobile and pain free.
